Example character modelling and texturing

Used Software:  Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop

Based on a story about a little boy whose journey turns into a horrified trip into a laboratory of an old lady, I developed the concept art of the main character.

Besides giving the character a personality I was also looking for an appropriate environment which supports the identity and mood of the character. I made sketches to get a rough visualization of the old lady. Based on them I made colored sketches, full body poses and details of the visual features and the face, by implementing the key facts.

In the renders and the animations I used a background scenery and lights like on a stage to support the stagy poses and to bring out her sophisticated and perhaps evil character.
